The landing campaign promotes DirectTV's new NFL Sunday Ticket by creating a fan whose devotion is so intense it creates a shockwave throughout the neighborhood. The creative team wanted to capture Direct TV's effort to make you the most powerful fan.
The team knew this was a great opportunity to push the CG capabilities and make the commercial larger than life. The artists designed, created and rendered over 25 million blades of grass, rocks and roots to create a realistic shockwave.
The results is a commercial that shows the power of a dedicated fan and effectively combines previs simulations with live action shots.
