This animated music video represents the path that everybody has to go through to discover the true nature of themselves.
The Concept

Stokeswood wrote me asking for a lyric video. After listening the song I realized that this song deserves something different, a story.
I wanted to illustrate a path through feelings, situations and I wanted to illustrate life. The idea is that sometimes we feel lonely, or displaced by the society, when in reality we are just where we have to be, but we try to change ourselves trying to fit.

The river with those corpses represent the society, the way that we are supposed to be. This absorbs us and changes us, and if we don't realize and don't do something to change it, we are lost. The main character is absorbed by the society, but his essence fights against it. It is when he realizes that he is different and does not have to change.

The Production

I conceptualized the idea and made the storyboard on paper. After this I started to work on the styleframes. When I had the style for the video, I started to do the illustrations(Character, environments). Then composition and animation on After Effects.

I'd been working on this project during 4 weeks.

My main Challenge was do the rig of the face to achieve this 3D effect and the flat effect for the water of the river.
