Ndubisi was brought on as the art director of some posters for Chevrolet using the current Camaro trims to bring excitement to the Chevy fans. He was given four lines of copy and told to let his imagination run wild.
Each illustration went through many versions to make the end result visually exciting and appealing. He wanted to embody the culture of Camaro - speed and fun.
Hand drawn lines of copy.
Combined illustration and typography.
Ndubisi believed that reinforcing the idea of speed visually would give a more playful feel to the posters.
Additional hand drawn typography.
Ndubisi drew the illustrations and typography himself. He then edited the illustrations in Photoshop, added color and edited the cars into the layouts. He later added the gradient and vector Camaro logo.
Combined with the help of the design team at Commonwealth//McCann, the posters successfully embodied the speedy and fun culture of Camaro.
